Dave’s inspired story of Olympic dreams is
captured on CTV’s Believe Series of vignettes
promoting the upcoming Winter Games in Vancouver,
Canada. Hosted by legendary television news personality
Darryl Janz, the spot focusses on Dave’s 22 year
journey to become the Music Director of the 2010
Olympic Winter Games.

Dave performed with Canadian rock star Suzie McNeil on
Breakfast Television. Suzie sang, and Dave played the
piano to perform a song co-written by Dave Pierce and
Adam James.

DVD
Dave’s orchestrations
are featured on a brand new DVD “Radio City
Christmas Spectacular starring The
Rockettes”. Celebrating 75 years of New York
City’s famous Radio City Music Hall, the
Rockettes present their new show designed and
developed specially for the anniversary. Dave
worked on Radio City’s creative staff during
the 2007 season in New York. The music score is
performed live by the 35 piece Radio City
Orchestra. The DVD is available in Borders and
online.
Arts Day Celebration
Jean Grand-Maitre (Alberta Ballet), Joni Mitchell,

Dave was the Music Director for Alberta Arts Day, a
province-wide celebration of the arts in Alberta that
featured hundreds of performers appearing on multiple
indoor and outdoor stages. In a gala evening concert,
Dave conducted The Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra in a
special performance of “Century”, the
composition he was commissioned to write for the
Queen’s Royal Visit in 2005. Included in the
concert was a collection of symphonic works arranged
and orchestrated by Dave that featured vocalists John
Wort Hannam, Johanna Sillanpaa, and Kris Demeanor. The
concert also included The Alberta Ballet performing
selections from Joni Mitchell’s “The Fiddle
and the Drum”.
Believe (Olympic Inspired
Version)
Dave conducted and
produced “Believe (Olympic Inspired
Version)”, Bell Canada’s one-of-a-kind
music video and audio track featuring Suzie McNeil
and Canada’s National Arts Centre
Orchestra. The arrangement and
orchestration for Believe was created by Dave, and
then the orchestra alongside Suzie singing vocals
was produced "live from the NAC" by Dave and his
team. The song will raise funds for Canada's
winter athletes and chronicle their extraordinary
journey on the road to the Vancouver 2010

Countdown to 2010
Olympics
Dave conducted The Vancouver
Symphony alongside Canadian stars Suzie McNeil, Jorane and Ron Sexsmith in the two year
countdown concert to Vancouver 2010, as part of the
Cultural Olympiad. The sold out event in
Vancouver's Orpheum Theatre featured TV
personality Ben Mulroney (Canadian Idol) and
Grammy nominee Feist.
Dave at Radio City Music
Hall
Dave recently joined the creative team at Radio City
Music Hall producing the Christmas Spectacular
featuring The Rockettes. Dave's brand new
orchestrations will be performed live by the amazing 35
piece orchestra accompanying singers, dancers,
performers and, of course, the world famous Rockettes.

The newest North American
production of the broadway musical CHICAGO now
features an orchestral adaptation created by Dave
Pierce. Currently touring USA and Canada is a live
ten piece orchestra performing onstage. One of the
finest show orchestras in North America has been
assembled to travel with the show and a special
thrill for Dave was to hear the score performed by
such high caliber musicians! Watch for this

Television

Television. Dave arranged and orchestrated music
for the live orchestra to perform during the final
episode. This major three-episode television event
follows the hopeful contestants through the
national open-call auditions to the nail-biting
tension of the Marquee Panel sessions, where the
semi-finalists must prove their talents to a
stellar group of internationally acclaimed
award-wining theatre legends (Garth Drabinsky;
Marvin Hamlisch; Sergio Trujillo; Adrian Noble;
Cynthia Dale). Special guests include Joel Grey
and Chita Rivera.

Dave recently worked at New York's legendary Clinton
Studios producing a new single for Adam James. Watch
for the single, SOMEONE LIKE YOU, to be released early
in the fall.
Billy Joel's "Movin'
Out"
Dave's recording production
was put to the test in the newest production of
Billy Joel's MOVIN' OUT. The Broadway Musical that
features Billy Joel's music is now playing in
Atlantic City at Harrah's Casino and includes
audio elements custom produced by Dave. Many
thanks to the fine New York musicians who worked
with Dave in the recording studio to make this
project a huge success. The show features a
musical score that employs an enormous amount of
detail in the exact recreation of many Billy Joel
hits as well as some newly updated arrangements
that support Twyla Tharp's brilliant choreography.

Dave recently contributed a special orchestration to
the Academy of Country Music Awards on CBS.
Performing her #1 hit, Carrie Underwood sang JESUS
TAKE THE WHEEL. The performance featured the addition
of strings and harp which were scored by Dave Pierce.

Adam James in Studio
Dave's most recent signing is Crooner Adam James. Dave
Pierce is currently in production for Adam's highly
anticipated debut CD, spending countless hours in the
studio recording Big Bands, Rhythm Sections, Strings
and Orchestral musicians who are contributing to this
project. Most recently Vancouver found Adam James
walking the streets in between a busy recording
schedule at The Armoury Studio where musicians from
around the globe had gathered to record the final few
tracks for the CD, set to release this summer. A solid
mixture of classic covers amidst fresh originals is
sure to garner the attention of the public and

CBC Radio Spotlight on
Dave
CBC Radio 1 featured an hour
long spotlight on Dave Pierce. Host Kathern Duncan
interviewed and played music composed and produced
by Dave. Stories of Dave's composing and
conducting a symphony for Queen Elizabeth II,
working in the studio with Canadian Superstar Paul
Brandt, touring as a conductor across Canada with
Singer/Songwriter Jann Arden and orchestrating
Broadway Musicals made up the interview portions.
New York sessions for
Appaxionado
Dave Pierce recently worked in New York's Clinton Studios on a brand new
musical entitled Appaxionado. Pierce's
arrangements and orchestrations were performed by
NYC's amazing studio musicians and the cast for
the show. A highlight for Pierce was collaborating
with famed composer Louis St.Louis (Grease;
The Wild Party).

Paul Brandt "A Gift"
Canadian country superstar Paul Brandt just released "A
Gift", a brand new Christmas CD featuring music
produced and arranged by Dave Pierce. "A Gift" includes
big band and strings conducted by Pierce. Sessions were
recorded in Vancouver at The Armoury Studios and mixed

Paul Brandt and the ESO
Dave Pierce conducted the world premiere of Canadian
Superstar Paul Brandt's brand new symphony show. Paul
joined Dave and the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra for
this special event November 8th. The concert featured
arrangements and orchestrations by Dave. CBC recorded
the concert and will broadcast on Radio Two on December
31 (10AM) and again on January 18 (8PM). Live streaming
on the net is available at cbc.ca. It was a delight
for Dave to work with the ESO again, his previous
engagement conducting the orcherstra was for Jann
Arden's "Greatest Hurts" symphony tour.
Dave Pierce's original score for Calgary's Chinook
Centre's brilliant new Christmas light show plays every
15 minutes in the centre court. The music track
features vocals by recording artists Adam James, Paul
Brandt and Hollywood's finest session vocalists. With
lights and effects choreographed to the score, Pierce
worked directly with F&D Scene Change and designer
Pierre Marleau to create the spectacle that plays until
December 25th (8AM to 10PM daily).

Hodgson hand picked songs from the many hits Roger
wrote and sang with SUPERTRAMP. This massive outdoor
concert was attended by 12,000+ people and featured a
nine piece band that Dave hand picked to perform hit
songs like "Dreamer", "Give A Little Bit", "School" and
"Fool's Overture".

Macy's Parade and Tommy
Tune
Dave Pierce produced and arranged music for Macy's
Thanksgiving Parade in NYC. Featuring nine-time Tony
award winner Tommy Tune. Discovery Channel's "Animal
Planet" float presented Dave's musical accompaniment
which featured a magical circus of wildlife
characters.

Crooner Adam James and Dave Pierce co-wrote the
international anthem of poker "So You Think You're
Good". Pierce produced and conducted the orchestra,
James' voice soars over the swinging horns and saucy
strings. The music video featuring Adam James can be
seen nationally on Rogers SportsNet's CANADIAN OPEN
POKER CHAMPIONSHIP. "So You Think You're Good" is the
opening title theme song and end credits.

Broadway Ad Spots
The new season of Broadway touring shows has hit the
road featuring radio/television advertising with music
arranged and produced by Dave Pierce. Working with
GCreative of Las Vegas, Dave recorded live orchestras,
disco rhythm sections, R&B brass players and
session vocalists for musicals produced by Troika
Entertainment.
Alberta Children's
Hospital
The brand new Alberta Children's Hospital opening
included an outdoor concert featuring Canadian
Superstar PAUL BRANDT performing his new song "Hope".
Dave Pierce arranged and conducted a youth orchestra
and childrens choir that added a magical touch to the
song for this debut performance. Paul and Liz Brandt
wrote the song specifically for the Children's
Hospital.
